ÖĞRETMENLERİN MESLEK ETİK ALGILARININ İNCELENMESİ

Abstract
The research was conducted on 180 teachers working in Döşemealtı district of Antalya. The study examines the differences in teachers' perceptions of professional ethics in terms of variables such as gender, age, professional seniority and education level. According to the research results, female teachers' perception of professional ethics was statistically higher than male teachers. This finding is consistent with the literature showing that women generally have higher ethical standards and are more careful in their ethical decision-making processes. There was no significant difference in the perception of professional ethics between age groups, which indicates that age does not play a determining role on teachers' ethical perception. On the other hand, it has been observed that as the length of professional seniority increases, teachers' perception of professional ethics also increases. The result reveals that experience has a positive impact on ethical perception and teachers develop more complex ethical decision-making abilities over time. In terms of education level, no significant difference was observed in the perception of professional ethics between master's and doctoral level teachers. This finding suggests that higher education levels do not make a significant difference on teachers' ethical perceptions. The results of the study show that the variables affecting teachers' perceptions of professional ethics need to be examined in more detail. It may be possible to better understand its general validity and variations by comparing the effects of factors such as education level and age on ethical perception with similar studies conducted in different geographies and cultural contexts.
