ÖĞRETMENLERİN YENİLİKÇİLİK DÜZEYLERİNİN BELİRLENMESİ


Abstract
The source of innovation is the individual. It is emphasized that individuals play an active role in the emergence and development of innovation rather than being passive members of the innovation front, and it is emphasized that social and economic innovation depends on individuals. It is believed that it is important for teachers to have a high level of innovation in order to sustain innovation and to raise people who can produce and develop innovations in a competitive global environment. It is seen that it is important to know the innovation level of the teachers and to plan accordingly, to know the activities to be done according to the innovations and developments that will be made according to the current position of the teachers, and to take precautions. Within the scope of the research, the Innovative Teacher Characteristics Scale was applied to 120 teachers in Mersin. According to the results of the analysis, it was determined that the score of the teacher open to innovation showed a statistically significant difference in terms of educational status. According to the average scores, the scores of master's graduates are higher. According to the analysis, it has been determined that the score of teachers who are open to development and cooperation shows a statistically significant difference in terms of professional seniority. Compared to the average scores, those who have a professional seniority of 6-10 years have a higher score.
