Abstract
The study analyzes the gender distribution and psychological resilience levels of 194 classroom teachers working in Diyarbakır. 66.5% (129 people) of the participants in the research sample are female teachers, and 33.5% (65 people) are male teachers. The research was conducted using the relational scanning method and the data was analyzed through SPSS 22.0 program. During the analysis process, whether the data showed a normal distribution was examined with kurtosis and skewness values. The findings of the study show that there is no statistically significant difference in psychological resilience levels according to gender. Although the psychological resilience average of female teachers is higher than that of males, this difference is not statistically significant. In addition, in the analysis made according to age groups, it was observed that psychological resilience increased with age, but this increase was not statistically significant. When teachers' psychological resilience levels were examined according to their working hours, it was determined that individuals who had been teaching for a longer period of time had higher psychological resilience levels, and this finding was statistically significant. At the same time, a positive relationship was found between the frequency of participation in professional development programs and psychological resilience, but this relationship was not statistically significant. The results provide important information about the factors affecting teachers' psychological resilience and contribute to the development of educational policies and teacher support programs.
